About Us
The story behind starting this website:Well, it isn't much of a story, but maybe you can relate. One night my family and I were wanting to order take out from a restaurant. We usually order the same thing everytime, but on this night in particular we wanted something different. So, we got on the computer, like most people do these days, and searched for a menu of that restaurant, and inconveniently we couldn't find one! Then we started thinking about how it would have been nice to have found an online menu, and we decided we needed to start a website with local restaurant menus. After doing a little research, we came across CityGuideSite.com and decided we would go for it and then the menu idea grew into what we have now--a website with ALL local businesses. Well, not all right now, but hopefully the site will have all of them eventually!
We are still in our beginning stage and have worked very hard to get what we have on the site now. But, we aren't through yet! We still have lots of plans that will serve a purpose for everyone coming to the site. We are open to any and all suggestions, so feel free to let us know!
Our hopes are that we will be a website that everyone can go to to find out what's happening in Brownwood, TX and surrounding areas. We hope to get businesses (profit and non-profit) the exposure that they deserve and help bring in customers for them. We want those who have events to be able to get the word out with our events calander. We also want for those who have something to sell to have a way of doing that with our free classified ads. As well as the many other things we have to serve local businesses, local residents and visitors alike.
Ultimately, it is our mission to provide outstanding service and to guarantee satisfaction while listening to our readers and customers, and committing to continuous improvement of our services.
